From Page to Practice: Life Lessons Books Taught Me

Some books are more than just stories — they’re roadmaps, lifelines, or even quiet friends that whisper truths we needed to hear.

I remember finishing The Midnight Library by Matt Haig and just sitting in silence. Nora’s journey through alternate lives made me rethink every decision I’ve called a “regret.” What if we’re all just one brave choice away from a better chapter?

Then came Reasons to Stay Alive — also by Matt Haig. A book I didn’t know I needed until it found me. I underlined passages. I cried. I healed. It reminded me that our darkest days are often the beginnings of quiet rebirth.

And Ikigai — a book that gently nudged me to slow down and find meaning in daily rituals. It helped me see that purpose isn’t always grand. Sometimes, it’s just having something to wake up for.

These stories didn’t just move me — they changed me.
