Be Still: Lessons from an Angel by E.D. Perry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
When I picked up "Be Still: Lessons from an Angel" by E.D. Perry, I was immediately drawn in by its promise of spiritual insights and life lessons. This book isn't just another guide; it's a heartfelt journey that intertwines theological study with practical advice, making it accessible and impactful for readers at any stage of Edtheir faith journey.
Perry's writing is infused with a gentle wisdom that beckons the reader to find peace and strength in stillness. As I navigated through each chapter, I reflected on the importance of quiet moments in my life. The author's ability to connect Biblical teachings with everyday experiences is truly remarkable.
One of the core themes that resonated with me was the idea of embracing stillness in a chaotic world. Perry emphasizes that in our fast-paced lives, we often overlook the power of silence and reflection. By creating space for these moments, we can foster a deeper connection with God and discover a sense of inner calm that is often elusive.
Each lesson in the book is a gentle reminder of the blessings that come from a true relationship with God. Perry's reflections, drawn from years of personal experience and study, offer a path to understanding and experiencing faith in a profound way. The book's message is clear: through stillness, we can find the strength and guidance to navigate life's challenges.
Reading "Be Still: Lessons from an Angel" felt like a spiritual retreat. It left me feeling inspired and grounded, ready to embrace the beauty of stillness in my own life. If you're looking for a book that offers spiritual depth and practical wisdom, this is a treasure worth exploring.

Whispers in the Court: The Prophecy of Ethrin by Stella Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I recently read "Whispers in the Court: The Prophecy of Ethrin" by Stella Smith, and I have to say, it was an absolute page-turner! 🌟
The story is set in the magical kingdom of Ethrin, where a prophecy threatens to tear the realm apart. The protagonist, Aubriella, is a fairy who has hidden her powers behind a veil of indifference. When she's accused of treason, she flees and finds refuge with Roarke, the King's secret son. Their bond starts as wary allies but soon deepens into something fiery and undeniable.
The world-building in this book is incredible. I felt like I was in Ethrin, experiencing the magic and the danger alongside the characters. Have you ever read a book that made you feel like you were part of the story?
The plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, another secret was revealed, and I was left questioning everything I thought I knew. It's so satisfying when a book keeps you guessing like that.

Liminal Space” by Vicki-Ann Bush—a title that beckons us to the edge of reality, where the ordinary and the extraordinary collide. Let’s step into this intriguing world together!
“Liminal Space” invites us on a weekend getaway—a seemingly innocent escape for friends Jesse and Micah. The novel weaves a desperate fate, secrets, and a truth larger than life. What if the boundaries between worlds blur? What if reality itself is a shifting tapestry? Vicki-Ann Bush takes us on a journey where curiosity leads to revelation, and lives are forever changed. Whether she’s exploring the supernatural, historical events, or science fiction, Vicki-Ann consistently infuses her stories with romance. Love—sometimes forbidden, sometimes otherworldly—anchors her narratives. It’s the heartbeat beneath the eerie and the fantastical.

A snow filled Romance
When the Snow Settles by Rachel LaBerge
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
“When the Snow Settles” is a heartwarming novella that invites you into the frost-kissed world of Ivy Lawson and Holland Holt. Picture snowflakes dancing in the glow of New York City lights; you’re right there with them.
Ivy Lawson—a spirited event planner—is back in the bustling city, orchestrating a red-carpet charity event for Sparks Wellness. She’s the kind of person who dives headfirst into projects, even if it means leaving her grumpy but oh-so-endearing lodge owner, Holland Holt, behind. Their chemistry crackles like a log in the fireplace, and their banter warms the pages.
But life isn’t all glittering snowflakes and hot cocoa. Ivy carries the weight of her past stay at The Emerald Canopy Lodge—a place that left its mark on her soul. And Holland? Well, he’s wrestling with secrets, the kind that frost over hearts and make decisions harder than ice.
Ivy and Holland steal a few precious days together as the charity event approaches. But then—a twist! A severe snowstorm descends, trapping them in a cocoon of white. It’s in these moments—the quiet ones, the ones where snowflakes settle—that emotions thaw and truths emerge.
🔥 What I Loved:
Atmosphere: LaBerge paints winter with a delicate brush. You’ll feel the chill, smell the snow, and hear the muffled crunch underfoot.
Character Depth: Ivy and Holland aren’t just names on a page; they’re people with histories, quirks, and vulnerabilities.
Romance: It’s like watching snowflakes melt into each other—a slow, beautiful collision

Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
In Flash Point, we meet Dahlia Nite, a shapeshifter who has defended humanity for nearly a century. She operates in secret, hunting down creatures that lurk in the shadows, all while concealing the secrets that could unravel their world. But when a series of gruesome murders brings ancient conspiracies to light, Dahlia’s limits are tested. The truth she uncovers is more terrifying than anyone could imagine—a reality steeped in legend and danger.
As Dahlia investigates the crimes, each new clue lifts the veil higher, leading her to a place she thought she’d never return: home. The novel masterfully blends urban fantasy with the murder mystery, featuring dragons, parallel worlds, and a captivating protagonist. Schneider’s writing captures the imagination, and you won’t want to put this book down until you’ve devoured every page.
Shapeshifters: Dahlia’s abilities add a unique twist to the story.
Parallel Worlds: Prepare for a journey beyond our reality.
Mystery and Intrigue: The plot keeps you guessing.
If you love dark, gritty tales with action, magic, and antiheroes, “Flash Point” is a must-read. And hey, dragons—because who doesn’t love a good dragon?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Nineteen-year-old Melanie Snow is desperate to untangle what happened the night her parents died. It was said to be a workplace accident. Something bigger is at play, and Mel won’t rest until she uncovers the real story.
Enter Tommy Williams—a man haunted by the same nightmarish memories. He witnessed Mel’s parents murdered alongside his own, and he knows the truth. The Organization, a homegrown extremist group, orchestrated the killings. But when Tommy learns that Mel is now their target, he defies orders and risks everything to warn her.

The Stone Witch of Florence by Anna Rasche
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
"The Stone Witch of Florence" by Anna Rasche is an immersive mix of historical fiction and fantasy, where 14th-century Florence is brought to life with Rasche's meticulous attention to detail. The protagonist, Ginevra di Gasparo, is both relatable and enigmatic, her struggle with her gift of gemstone sorcery adding depth to the tale. Rasche's portrayal of Florence during the Black Plague is hauntingly vivid, effectively transporting readers to a time of turmoil and resilience.
The book stands out for its unique blend of magical realism and historical accuracy. Rasche's narrative is rich with historical authenticity yet doesn't shy away from weaving a compelling fantasy. The author's ability to balance these elements while keeping the plot engaging is commendable. The magical elements are seamlessly integrated, enhancing rather than overpowering the historical setting.
One potential drawback is that the pacing may feel slow at times, especially for readers seeking a more action-driven plot. However, the character development and atmospheric world-building make up for these lulls, rewarding patient readers with a deeply satisfying story.
In essence, "The Stone Witch of Florence" is a well-crafted tale that will appeal to fans of both historical fiction and fantasy, offering a fresh perspective on a well-trodden period of history. Anna Rasche's debut novel is a promising start to what could be an exciting series or future works
